Road Trip Twitter Posts

As you guys and girls should know, Joe and I will be heading out on our baseball road trip starting on Monday, June 23rd. We’ll be hitting Cleveland, Detroit and Pittsburgh. As a way of keeping everyone involved and the site active, I’ll be turning on the Twitter posts. Basically, every day (I believe at midnight), all my Twitter posts from the day will be gathered up and posted as a journal entry on this site. I’ll be “tweeting” more than usual as a way of making sure it’s an interesting read. I hope you all enjoy it or at leats manage to kill some time by reading it.

It’s not secret that I haven’t had much time to post on the site lately. However, I have been pretty proficient at updating my Twitter status (right side) quite often. The plugin that I use to include my latest Twitter status on the right side of the site also gives me the option of automatically creating a new post every day with all of my Tweets from that day. Would you guys be interested in that or would it come off as just being filler content? Sound off in the comments and let me know.

I’ve been on a Weezer kick, as of late, after buying and loving their new album. This one is an older song, off of “Maladroit”, but it’s a catchy tune and I’ve been listening to it A LOT, lately. Enjoy.

They actually debuted the video on Youtube since it stars a bunch of people from some of the more popular videos over the past two, or so, years. Even the Numa, Numa guy is in it. I enjoyed the video, for sure. What do you boys and girls think?

Well, it seems as though my anti-spam plugin is a little aggressive at times. A few legitimate comments were caught in the nets and I only now discovered them. Poor Murkey (a frequent visitor) had three of his set for deletion.
If you post a comment and don’t see it on the site, get in touch with me and let me know, please. I’ll find it and set it to approved. The plugin is a learning plugin so it should, over time, get the idea and let your stuff through automatically.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

On Friday, Melanie and I took a trip to Central Park and, in the process of taking pictures of ourselves or having others take pictures of us (we’re “darling” by the way), we snapped a few skyline shots. Hers was stunning so I had to make it into a wallpaper and I was just bored so I made mine into one, also.

For those of you who don’t know, Twitter is a global status website where you can update your current status via web or mobile phone. Think of it as a status message like they have on MySpace and Facebook, only Twitter keeps a log of every status message you type and lets you track the statuses of others. It’s pretty cool and a simple time killer when boredom starts to invade your reality a bit.
I’ve recently created my own account at Twitter and have been using it to update my status throughout the day while I’m bored or simply in the mood to speak. It’s already been tied to my Facebook status and I’ve now decided to include such functionality on this site, as well. You can look on the right side and always have quick access to my latest status message. Maybe I’m pissed about work, doing something cool, or simply missing Melanie. Either way, you’ll be able to read it all right there.
All in all, I think it’s pretty cool and it gives everyone a little more direct access into my current thoughts. So, make sure you stop by here as often as possible to stay on top of things.

Well, I think it’s time for change around here and I finally bit the bullet and found a theme I like. To be honest, I chose the old black and orange theme when I wasn’t exactly thrilled with life. The darkness seemed to really reflect the mood I was in. Emo? Maybe, but it was effective.
Life is a lot better now. Maybe work isn’t as good as it should be, but with Melanie in my life, things have really turned around for me and I want this site to constantly reflect where I am.
What do you boys and girls think? Any ideas? Any bugs? Let me hear it in the comments below.
