Joe and I Dancing

So, Melanie was a little bored and this is what comes out of it. Why am I the chick?

Seinfeld and Gates Microsoft commercials

1

So, Microsoft has brought on Jerry Seinfeld to star in a few commercials, along side Bill Gates, as they try to compete with the charming PC vs Mac advertisements that Apple has been running for a while, now. They are actually pretty damn good, especially the second one, in my opinion. What do you guys think?

Battling spam while saving your comments

0

It’s always a battle over here to try to combat spam while preserving legit comments from you boys and girls. For a while, I was using Defensio as an anti-spam plugin, though it was really paranoid and always wound up marking legitimate comments as spam and I grew tired of it.

For now, I’m back using Akismet. It’s less paranoid, though it tends to let more trackback spam in, so I’m also using Bad Behavior to try to help stop problems on that front.

With these changes, I hope to give myself less work while giving you guys more of an opportunity of seeing your comment appear right away instead of having it thrown into the “Awaiting Moderation” abyss.

Happy Birthday, Melanie

Just a quick Happy Birthday to my beautiful girlfriend, Melanie. Happy Birthday, baby! I love you!

Birthday Wishlist

I figured I’d make everyone’s lives a little easier and just let you know what I’ve been looking at. As usual, only care about this if we’re actually close friends.

Yes, it’s all shirts. I need new clothes badly and, with the recent move, I don’t have much money for them, so I’m using my birthday to stock up for the winter. I love Fox clothing, by the way lol.

Staind “This Is It” Lyrics

0

Here’s are the lyrics for “This Is It”, another track from Staind’s upcoming album, “The Illusion of Progress”. I’m proud to be the first site to bring them to you. Enjoy.

Here we are
There’s no where else to go and
That’s so far
From where we all could be but
If you feel like disappearing
Then you should take this for what it’s worth

This is it and it fits
And it feels like this is good enough for me
Could it be that the grass is always green?

There you are
You dream of something better
What’s so wrong?
With what you thought was true and
If all the colors are disappearing
Then you should take this for what it’s worth

This is it and it fits
And it feels like this is good enough for me
Could it be that the grass is always green?

This is it (This is it)
This is it (This is it)

If you feel like disappearing
You should take this for what it’s worth

This is it and it fits
And it feels like this is good enough for me
Could it be that the grass is always green?

This is it
This is it

Staind “Believe” Video

This is the video for the first single off of Staind’s new album “The Illusion of Progress”

I know it’s broken

0

I’m aware the ‘Recent Tracks’ section on the right side is broken. WordPress is being a pain in my ass and not listing my plugins accordingly, so I can’t even seem to fix the problem. I’ll get around to it by tomorrow, most likely.

Update: I’m trying to work with my host to solve the issue. This is a site wide issue and not tied to WordPress, thus, it’s not something I can fix on my own.

Update: Everything is now working, again. I had to change plugins for the music information and, unfortunately, can’t remove the artist from the information, but I don’t think that’s too bad.

Staind “Believe” Lyrics

Staind released the first single off of their upcoming album, “Illusion of Progress”. As expected, I love it. Here are the lyrics (Click “read more” for the entire thing):

I sit alone and watch the clock
Trying to collect my thoughts
All I think about is you

And so I cry myself to sleep
And hope the devil I don’t meet
In the dreams that I live through

Believe in me
I know you’ve waited for so long
Believe in me
Sometimes the weak become the strong
Believe in me
This life’s not always what it seems
Believe in me
Cause I was made for chasing dreams

Weezer and The Offspring and You

0

There’s been two good albums released recently. Weezer released their third self titled album, dubbed “the Red Album”. After a very pop-ish “Make Believe”, this album brings Weezer a little closer to their expected rock sound. It’s not going to bring any fans back who left after Pinkerton, but it will definitely keep more open minded fans interested. Tracks you need to listen to:

  • Troublemaker
  • The Greatest Man That Ever Lived
  • Pork and Beans
  • Heart Songs
  • Everybody Get Dangerous

The Offspring also released an album, “Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace”. The album is very solid from beginning to end. The guys have grown up a bit, finally, but still have enough rebellion in them to fill the album with a certain youthful energy that’s been linked to the band from the beginning. Tracks you need to listen to:

  • You’re Gonna Hp Far Kid
  • Hammerhead
  • A Lot Like Me
  • Takes Me Nowhere
  • Stuff Is Messed Up

Just thought I would give you all a quick heads up, just in case you’re looking for new music.
