In these new Bond films, there's nothing "Bond" about them. You could replace James and the store would be the same because this new Bond doesn't bring all of the nuances (such as those gadgets) along with him. It just feels too much like a generic spy film. The gadgets were Bond's handicap. They made Bond **real** in these new movies. It's much more interesting to watch. Brosnan had his moments, but they were few in numbers.
