There’s either a lot of people who like me or a growing number of people who don’t. For the month of October 2006, we’ve all managed to set a new record for the number of unique visitors (that’s a count of how many different IP addresses visited the site). The previous record? 1759 visitors. The new? A whopping 38% improvement totaling 2428 unique hits.

One trend I did notice, though, is that people are only coming to the front page and not delving any deeper. While unique visitors were up, page views were considerably disproportioned compared to the numbers from the past year. I really do want people to spend time here and read more than the front page. I’m not sure how to accomplish that on a blog and I don’t want to have content that doesn’t appear on the front page, so I’m caught in a bind. If you have any ideas, let me know. While I want this site to remain about my life, regardless of how some people denounce the idea, I always do try to mix in some unrelated content I think people may found interesting. Need more or less of something? Let me know that, too.
