Root Canal Half Done

So, I got my root canal half taken care of yesterday. The dentist numbed me up, drilled in, removed the nerve, and put in a temporary antibiotic filling. I’m also on a 3 a day prescription of Clindamycin which is another antibiotic.

The root canal, itself, wasn’t really that bad. The worst part is the fact that you tend to not realize you’re biting your tongue when half of your mouth is numbed up. Three hours later, when the numbness wears off, you have one sore as hell tongue. So, right now, it hurts like hell to swallow because the part I cut up keeps hitting my teeth. It’s the most annoying pain.

I’ll be going back next Friday to get my permanent filling. Man, I can’t wait for this to be over with. I have hadp ain in the side of my mouth for about 3 weeks now and it’s just tiring.
