you are correct on a couple of things, windows does have more software, since it has such a large market share, but mac is making its way up the chain slowly. And as for replacements of windows software, I like the mac versions better, their programs work seamlessy with the operating system. Also an advantage of not having the majority of the market (for now) is that mac does not have viruses, not because its not possible, just because windows is much bigger, more people spend time hacking windows, not OS X. In the past i had agreed with you on the gaming part, mac suck for it. But now with the intel chips, dual core processing, and boot camp, we can have the best of both worlds. Right now i think that the macbook pro, and macbook, are two of the best computers on the market, they both can run windows, and they can run OS X, you get windows for work if you need it, and games, and the beauty and stability of OS X, all of this is coming on , in my opinion, the best looking laptops out there, so now with intel and bootcamp, we have a choice, more people will be making the switch to Apple. :)

And for software, to be honest I’ve actually found better software for the Mac than I ever did for Windows. I do web design, programming, graphic design, etc., and I always found better software for the Mac. Sure, there is a lot less selection, but it seems as though the software that is available is a lot more well done. But that’s certainly a subjective thing.

Mac is known as a superior OS for graphic design and video editing.

OMGOMGOMGOMGWTFBBQOMG

*ahem*

Being someone who will probably never own a Mac, and who has not seen the commercial (does it air in the UK?), I must say "BUNK" to fanboy-ism.

Fanboys should all be shot.

Especially fanboys of a platform with no CounterStrike. ;)

I'm thinking that perhaps the digital camera thing is a reference to iPhoto. With iPhoto, it automatically detects the camera and imports it into the library. Windows automatically detects the camera, yes, but the most you can do is copy it into your My Pictures folder and print before needing the software that comes with the camera. You can't do touch-ups, you can't do simple effects, and you can't crop/rotate/resize. The Mac offers full functionality with ANY camera out of the box.

As far as gaming is concerned, that's no contest of course. There are quite a few games available for Mac, but not nearly enough.

BTW, I use a PC and I've got an iBook.
